I had an interesting experience here. Not completely bad for a Saturday night, and it IS a steakhouse after all. I came in with two other people are we were seated right away. The service was quick and our drinks, meals, dessert and check all came in about the amount of time one would expect. The interesting thing was that the server didn't actually do any of the "heavy lifting" as it were. The drinks, food, desserts and check were all brought out by different people. So when it came time to factor in the tip, there was some debate over what exactly to leave. He was friendly though, as was the rest of the staff. It's a little noisy at dinnertime because the ceilings are tall and the carpeting is that dense, low stuff. They could benefit from some curtains or furniture around the room to dampen some of that. The place was dimly lit, which creates a nice vibe. The REALLY nice part was the dining chairs: they were cushy leather, had armrests and swung, kind of akin to an office chair. Very comfortable. The food was good, I had a new york steak with a whiskey-brown sugar rub on it which created a little bit of a char on the outside. If you don't like a little carbon on your steak, best avoid that one. The beau had a sirloin that tasted a little tough. A side of veggies came with my steak, sauteed in butter. I'm sort of a health nut, so the butter on the veggies was a little redundant considering all the other rich food on the menu, but again, it's a steakhouse. The dessert menu is small, but who wants a huge menu anyway? Cheesecake, apple strudel (ish) ala mode and something fudge-brownie esque were all in decent portions (wear pants with an elastic waistband). I can't tell you what the price of all this was as I didn't pay. TL,DR; Good food, decent ambience, a bit noisy. Try not to eat anything most of the day, your belly's at critical mass when you leave.

Montana rivals the best steak houses in Texas. Menu selection is awesome. Our party of 5 all had different selections and everyone was very impressed with the quality and the chef's ability to hit the cooking preferences dead on. All of their sides are excellent but the twice baked potato takes it all. The restaurant in the front is very quiet but you can sit and get full dinner service in the saloon in the back. Customer service is obviously the entire staff's priority. Will be back.

Great place on the south side of town. Prime rib was perfect and the service excellent. The bread is baked then deep fried, WOW this stuff rocks! Drinks were stiff and fast refills. I would recommend this place for sure, and the three others that were with me would as well. Best food in Havasu, Right up there with Shugrue's. Thanks Joe L.

I'm not a fan of steakhouses in general, however, this place was pretty good. I had a stuffed chicken. The sauce was perfect, the chicken was cooked just right. No complaints!

Had dinner at the Montana Steak House on the past Friday night. My friends and I were in the mood for some good steak. The place is nice, but not over the top or anything. There is a family dining area and a lounge. The lounge has a full bar in it. We sat in the lounge. Our server was very courteous. The menu is fairly simple compared to other places. It's obvious that this is a steak house looking to live up to it's name. They have mostly steak, and a few other things. We were there for the steak though. We ended up all ordering the Ribeye, which is my favorite. It just so happens to be the most expensive item on the menu ($25), go figure. It's 20 oz though. It comes with two sides, I chose a baked potato and sauteed mushrooms and onions. The mushrooms and onions were very good, the mushrooms had a wine type flavor to them, so if you hate wine, avoid them. I don't like wine but I still liked the mushrooms. The potato was good, of course it's pretty hard to screw that up. My steak came out, as requested medium-rare. It was delicious. Tender, juicy, everything you want a good steak to be. They also serve bread that is deep fried. I loved it, I thought it was delicious. It reminded me of an unsweetened doughnut. All in all, if you are in Lake Havasu and in the mood for a good steak dinner, stop by the Montana Steak House for some great steak, and courteous service.

The food was good, the bread was delicious! My mom goes here all the time and loves it, reasonable prices for a steak dinner.

The best I've had in Lake Havasu! Everything about it is great, the servers are amazing, the concerts they play in their bar but not to mention the amazing food! I love everything about this place and will highly recommend this place to anyone!

Holy Cow!!!! This place rocks!!! Our server Athena started is off with an excellent app of seared ahi and my main dish of Rib eye was mouth watering! Juicy, perfectly tempered accompanied with a Cesar salad and slightly too much of a serving. Holy Cow! The wife had Top sirloin and was a vegan prior to being seated. This place has cured my marriage of our collared green and kale ways!!!! I wanted to make sure I included the bread, it was fried and looked a lot like Twinkie's. It could have been a meal on its own. I will need a physical after this meal and have to being an exercise regimen, but it was worth it. I will be back!

By far the best steak in Havasu! The Ribeye cooked med: pink inside juicy, tender and DELICIOUS! I had the twice baked potato (with a little ranch dressing on top) and the entire meal was PERFECT! Our server Trent was fast, professional, and very good. Food, Service, Wait time, and Price were all better then expected!

We haven't been to Montana Steak house since 2006. So we didn't know what to expect. We came here with a large group 25+ people and they were not only willing to do individual tabs they recommended it. 5 stars right there!!! I had the large Top Sirloin (served rare) and it was outstanding. It just melted in my mouth. I gotta say one of the best steaks I have had in a restaurant in years.

Our expectations were high coming in since everyone says they have the best steak in town. The ambience wasn't the usual 5 star ambience for a steakhouse but you are in Lake Havasu after all. The ambience is no Morton's Steakhouse, but the service and the food was great. The steaks were good, the onion rings and twice baked potato are a must to compliment your steak. The bread is rich but yummy. No room for dessert from a person who usually states there is a dessert stomach always available. This place is worth it. Great job guys.

I thought that the food was just ok. I had a steak and baked potato. It was a really long wait and it was just ok. When I walked in I thought it was a retirement home. The Decor is very out of date. And I just felt surrounded.

Visiting Lake Havasu and saw the reviews on this restaurant....and were they right!! Two of us tried the ribeye (medium) and I had the mushrooms on mine. I'm a very picky steak person and this place rates right up with some of the best spots I've had steak. The other parties had the prime rib and one had shrimp. Everyone loved the food. I saw some okay reviews for the garlic mash potatoes and I thought they were great, as were the twice baked potatoes. We had good service and with reservations we got right in. Would definitely recommend.

Stumbled upon this great steakhouse tonight. I have been to other steakhouses in Havasu and this was by far the best one yet. We sat in the bar area, which was not really like a bar and more like a lounge. We had Amber as our waitress who also happens to be the bartender. Here are some highlights of our evening. - the dinning area was boring. They could stand to have a little more ambiance. - the lounge area was HUGE .. Larger than the dinning area. - they have several TVs if you want to watch a game. - we ordered the bayou shrimp which I didn't have, but my husband enjoyed. - also ordered the spinach artichoke dip which came with garlic bread for dipping. Very good. - I ordered the prime rib, it was REALLY good! I also ordered the twice baked potato which I only picked at. It was just ok. -my husband ordered the rib eye which had tons of flavor. - our server was AMAZING! We loved her and promised we'd be back soon. She was friendly, genuine and offered advice on menu items. -our cocktails were CHEAP! Overall, we will be back for sure!

I have eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. The bread that they bring you to the table is deep-fried and tastes kind of like a donut. You can request bread that is not deep-fried. The king crab legs are pre-cut and I think they are the best I have ever had. The prime rib is one of my favorites. For an appetizer the artichoke dip is superb. We always have great service and the seating is nice because you're not close to other tables.

Amazing ribeye! The twice baked potatoes are great, and the huckleberry colada is AMAZING!! The steak nuggets appetizer is great. Make sure you ask for the sauce on the side if you don't love that Asian flare.

Reasonable price for a nice steak house....especially on Buy one get one 50% off night. Had NY strip steak wife had filet Both were excellent. Ordered Tom Collins drinks They were perfect and very inexpensive. We will definitely be back. Our waiter was young and very nice. We were there late for dinner. Only left about 1/2 hr before they closed . We never felt rushed by the staff which was great.

Went at 8 on a Friday night for a steak dinner, there were 7 of us but they accommodated. Fried ravioli was amazing, spinach dip was not! We all had steaks and a variety of sides. Most we're great but I would stay with the salad and baked potato. Steaks were cooked to order and it was all eaten, very tasty. Server was nice but a little scattered, she tried hard! We have been here before, will come back again, especially for the fried ravioli.

Great meal!!! Came in on a Friday night without reservations and were seated right away. Restaurant was busy but they found us a table. Awesome customer service. Didn't have to ask for drink refills, extra bread, etc. Server was on it! I had the prime rib and it was prepared perfectly! Garlic mashed potatoes were so good I had to fight to keep them. The kids wanted a bite or four! I highly recommend the House Lemon Drop Martini. It was by far the best one I've ever had out in a restaurant by leaps and bounds! No gross sugary sweet mix added to ruin it. It was ice cold citrus vodka and fresh squeezed lemon juice! Strong and perfect! Kids loved their Arnold Palmer drinks and thought the carafe that was brought out for them to pour on their own was cool. It was a hit! Hubby and teenager ordered the filet mignons and ate every bit of it! It was to good to even leave one bite behind. Thanks for a fabulous meal!! We will definitely be back often!!

A very disappointing experience. My wife and I had reservations for 7pm and we told we'd be seated at 7pm. At 7 pm we were waiting to be seated and 2 different couples who arrived after us were seated before us . When I questioned the hostess, she replied was that they were on the waiting list. Seems a waiting list, whatever that is, is better than a reservation . Keep in mind they arrived after we did. We were seated shortly after speaking to the hostess and were seated at a table for 6 and there were only 2 of us. I think the hostess realized that she made a mistake. Once seated we waited for nearly 15 minutes before a server came to our table ( and that was after asking twice to have a server sent to our table. ) I ordered he fillet mignon and it was ok . My wife had the Australian lobster tail and it was chewy and had to use a knife to cut the lobster, it was obviously not fresh. $53 for a lobster that had to be cut with a knife is sad. Our tab was 130 plus tip for a less than enjoyable experience. We will be trying other Havasu steakhouses in the future . This is our first and last time here.

WHISKY NEW YORK!!! I have been to this place multiple time to say the least! I think the Whisky New York is amazing! The Prime rib and Ribeye also are out of the park. They are very dialed in on the customer service and you will never have to wait long. It is also very nice to see the owners of the business in there working. The front of the restaurant is more formal than the back of the restaurant. I highly recommend this place and its well worth a look.

After years of hearing about this place, we had to try it. Amazing! We had the special, the big filet for the price of the small one, with baked potato and salad. I'm not always a salad guy, but this salad was even amazing. The downside is that it now preempts some of my favorites; it's that good. The steaks were prepared just right, hot, juicy, and how we liked them. Wait staff was quick and made sure drinks were topped off. The place was a little noisy at first, but you got used to it (or distracted by the excellent food), and it was white noise, you couldn't hear anyone's conversation, just that they were speaking. The bread requires special mention. My wife loves breads, and this was her new favorite.

Two words.... STEAK NUGGETS.... These juicy little morsels make me miss living here, and that says a lot. Really nice atmosphere, you can tell they have to stand out because they are pretty far away from all the action in town. I lived close by this place and oh it was such a treat getting to dine here and even as a broke teenager I remember this place being inexpensive. Very classic steak house but still has its own signature items. Good service, one of a few places that have decent servers. Pretty good all around they are just more laid back. So... if your tired of rockstar, trucker hats, and top 40 then come have dinner at Montana's.

After several days of wilderness camping we were ready for a big steak dinner. Luckily Montana clientele wore everything from shorts and flip flops to a formal wedding gown. Restaurant was upscale but comfortable. The food we ordered was delicious: Rib eye steak and hand cut fries Prime rib and loaded baked potato Fresh green salad sprinkled with awesome bleu cheese Clam chowder with ham or bacon (not sure) The dinner rolls tasted like donuts. They are deep fried and served with honey butter. Perfect place to get a quality steak dinner that leaves you feeling so satisfied! Great service and comfortable setting.

Pretty good. One of the only steakhouses in town. Service was good for the most part, complimentary bread tastes exactly like glazed donuts. That could be good or bad for some people. A tad over rated. $19.00 for a 16 oz. Top Sirloin. If you want a steak in Lake Havasu, go here. You're welcome Montana's. 4 stars.

Fried bread? Tasty, but not sure I'm ready for my stomach's reaction!!! I'm feeling more like Texas than Montana. And, they serve butter with it, definite overload. So when I got over my obsession with the whole fried bread thing and I got through the Denny's like salad, the crab special I ordered was terrific! My husband did order the filet and he said it was tender and seasoned expertly. It's pretty tough to go wrong with excellent aged Black Angus and freshly flown in King Crab. Good stuff. The rest of the meal, salad, potatoes, veggies and "bread" we're adequate if not creative but did not add up to the high price tag for dinner. Staff was friendly and attentive. Would I revisit Montana Steak House? Probably would look for a little lighter fair even if it is steak. I gave them a three for the mediocre side dishes. I would make it a four for the main dish!

My husband and I both ordered the ribeye. AWESOME AND PERFECTLY COOKED!!! The best steak I've had in a long time!!! Our server was so friendly. This is a great place and next time we are in Havasu we will absolutely come back I wish there was a place like this near us in Temecula.

The best I've had in Lake Havasu! Everything about it is great, the servers are amazing, the concerts they play in their bar but not to mention the amazing food! I love everything about this place and will highly recommend this place to anyone!

Went there for dinner last night. The service was good and so was the Rib Eye steak. The place is not fancy but it is nice for a small town. We sat in the bar area where it was cooler. Good food!
